Unwined Candles New Spring "Flavors" & Upcoming Events!! March 07 2013

Hey guys, we're just giving you all an update that we're working on developing some great new scents for the Spring season!! We've just released our Grapefruit candle which offers the sharp aroma of the citrus classic which is mellowed by the warm, sweet scent of mangosteen. Mixed with subtle hints of peach, this is an aroma not to be missed! In the upcoming weeks, we will also be adding another few scents to our existing line of candles! If you haven't already checked out our Red Currant, be sure to check that one out as well!

We're staying busy and looking forward to the upcoming warm weather, which mean more time outside and some awesome festivals that we participate each year! Also, be on the lookout for some exciting new products that Unwined will be producing in the next few months!! Should be a very fun year!! Thanks for all the support, guys!!

Unwined Candles - Updates & Information!! January 31 2013

Well, it’s been a long time since we’ve updated! Ever since our wonderful experience

at the CMA’s we’ve been busy, busy – in the best way possible. The holidays came

and went in a flash – our craziest time so far – and things have just now begun to

settle down a little bit. With the hustle and bustle of December behind us, we have

been able to sit back for a second and truly take this all in. Our lives have been changed

in ways we never expected. Not only have we seen growth and success but we’ve

met some awesome and unforgettable people over this past year. So let us take a

moment and say, “THANK YOU!” to our awesome costumers and dear friends. We

wouldn’t be where we are today without you, and we can’t wait to see what the

future holds!

Just a few updates before we get back to work: Last Saturday we had a fundraiser

for a dear family friend and an important member of our community, the owner of

Habib’s Kabob and Bagel Café, who is battling Lymphoma. We made 110 candles to

be sold at Habib’s Kabob from 9 am – 2 pm. We are so happy to say that we SOLD

OUT within an hour and a half! It was an unbelievable experience and we were so

happy to donate 100% of the profit to a fund set up for him and his family to help

take care of medical bills and extraneous expenses. THANK YOU to everyone who

came out to support the Rahimis. It meant so much.

With the success of our Holiday flavors, we have begun to work on our upcoming

SPRING flavors line. Yes, that’s right! Spring will be here before you know it….be on

the look out for several new flavors in the next few months! Can’t wait for you to

smell them!

One last thing to share….we normally don’t brag but there are two people in

particular who think that Unwined Candles are THE BEST on the market! True,

they’re only 2 and a half…and they might be a little biased (coughownerskidscough),

but they happen to have impeccable taste, so we thought we’d take this opportunity

to gloat. These boys know their candles….sniffing machines!! Oh, and aren’t they

the cutest? (we might be a little biased, too!)

Unwined Candles - The Exclusive Candle Of The 46th Country Music Awards!! October 22 2012

We are so humbled, excited, and THRILLED to announce that WE: little old Unwined Candles from Sykesville Maryland will be the exclusive Candle of the 46^th Annual CMA Awards Celebrity Gift Lounge! What does this mean? Well…. that we have been given the amazing and rare opportunity to head down to Nashville at the end of this month and hand our candles out to all of the amazing talent at the CMA Awards.

How did this happen? We can’t begin to explain our excitement and gratitude for this life-changing opportunity. We like to think that good karma and hard work has paid off…and that we are extremely blessed. Best believe we have been putting in long hours making candle upon candle for all of our loyal and beloved customers as well as around 100 celebrities in Nashville. We are surely pinching ourselves and thanking our lucky stars for our good fortune.

Unwined Candles Holiday "Flavors" & The Maryland Wine Festival!!! September 14 2012

Hello and good day to you all! This weather has been beautiful, hasn't it? The forecast for this weekend, September 15th and 16th, is just as lovely so if you're in the area come out to the Maryland Wine Festival at the Carroll County Farm Museum in Westminster. We will be there all day (Saturday 10-6 and Sunday 12-6) both days slinging candles and making friends! This is going to be an event to remember with so many delicious food vendors to choose from, an amazing musical line up on both days, an amateur wine competition and so much more. We are really looking forward to it.

As we said in the last blog, our limited edition Holiday Flavors are officially for sale! We are so pleased to introduce four new flavors; Winter Woods, Pumpkin Pie, Grandma's Kitchen, and Gingerbread Lane. They're out just in time for you to get a head start on your holiday shopping. With America’s birthday approaching, we’ve been reflecting on what makes our wonderful country special. In doing so, we always seem to come back to the idea of “Freedom”. We are proud to live in the land of the free and the home of the brave and to show our pride, Unwined Candles wishes to celebrate those who have made our freedom possible - the soldiers. We are excited to announce that for the ENTIRE month of July we will be donating 20% of all sales to a charity that aids wounded soldiers. Hello to our Candle Lovin’ peeps! We hope your summer has been wonderful so far; it’s a great time of year to spend with your friends and family. Whether you’re on vacation, grilling out back, or relaxing by the pool – we hope you are enjoying yourself. We sure are.

We are grateful for the opportunity we had to sell our candles at the Great Grapes Wine Festival at Oregon Ridge a few weekends back. We had such a great time there and look forward to going back next year. Thanks to everyone who bought a candle or stopped by and to everyone in charge of organizing – you did a great job!

The fun doesn’t stop; join us this Saturday, June 16^th from 12-6pm at Eat Drink Go LOCAL North Beach, an event that shows all that Southern Maryland has to offer…from local foods, to wines, to so many cool vendors this open market style affair has so much to offer. Come browse, learn about food and wine pairings, and enjoy some free music. Eat Drink Go LOCAL is in its 2^ndyear and we hear it is a blast. We hope to see you there.

Unwined Candles Festival Info & Flavor Naming Contest Winner!! June 01 2012

Summer is on its way and Unwined Candles is working hard to get out in the community and enjoy some of the areas most beloved seasonal events, specifically Wine Festivals! We had a blast last weekend at the Linganore Wine Festival, sold lots of candles and more importantly met a lot of great people. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth to browse, buy a candle or even just say hello. It was an awesome event.

We will be back at it again this weekend, Saturday June 2^nd and Sunday June 3^rd from 12-6 at Great Grapes Wine and Food Festival at Oregon Ridge Park in Hunt Valley. Celebrating its tenth anniversary, Great Grapes will offer 200 Maryland Wines from 20 Wineries across the state. While you’re enjoying the best wine that MD has to offer, make sure you check out all of the great vendors (especially Unwined Candles) offering everything from cheese to spices, olive oil to crafts. Unwined's Updates!! May 23 2012

Hey guys, just a quick update; we are excited to announce that the winner of our Unwined Candle Flavor Naming Contest is Jen McMillan with the name HAPPY HOUR!! This candle has a coconut, beach, tropical drink vibe and we think it's the perfect name. Thank you so much to everyone who submitted entries, we have some very creative customers. In other news, we are busy, busy, staying up late and working hard to make candles for upcoming events. Join us this weekend, May 26th and 27th (Saturday & Sunday), at the Linganore Wine Festival! The Caribbean themed event will boast awesome live music, delicious food, over thirty vendors (including US) and of course WINE!! Come out, it's sure to be an awesome time.

Unwined Candles New Flavor Naming Contest!!! May 11 2012

After a lot of testing, we've selected a brand new flavor to add to the lineup of candles we offer! We want to get everyone's input and let you guys select the name! We're offering a FREE candle of the new flavor to the person who submits the name we like most! Simply head over to our Facebook Page to submit your name idea!! We'll be giving everyone a week to come up with some names for the new flavor, so take some time and think of some good ones!! Spread the word and get your friends and family involved!!
